Avatar & AI Policy

1. Overview

This policy explains how BabyBinge creates avatars for your child's cartoon episodes. We use artificial intelligence to generate 3D cartoon characters based entirely on text descriptions that you provide. No photo, video, or biometric input is ever used.

2. How Avatars Are Created

You describe your child's avatar using simple text prompts — for example, "brown curly hair, big green eyes, fox ears, and a star on her cheek." Our AI system interprets these words and generates a unique 3D cartoon character in a Pixar-inspired style.

The process:

• You type a text description
• Our AI generates a cartoon character based on your words
• You review and approve the result
• The approved avatar is used in your child's episodes

You can refine the avatar by adjusting your text prompts at any time.

3. No Photos — Ever

BabyBinge does not accept, request, or process photographs at any point in the avatar creation process. The app does not request camera or photo library permissions.

If you attempt to describe a real person's physical features in detail, our safety system will flag the prompt and suggest more cartoon-appropriate descriptions. Our goal is imaginative, fictional characters — not digital replicas.

4. No Biometric Data

We do not collect or process any biometric data, including:

• Facial geometry or face scans
• Fingerprints
• Voice prints or voice recognition data
• Iris or retina scans
• Gait analysis or body measurements

Our AI works with text only. The generated avatars are cartoon illustrations, not biometric representations.

5. AI Models & Training

Our avatar generation system uses custom-trained AI models. These models were trained on licensed, synthetic, and publicly available cartoon artwork — never on photographs of real children.

If you opt in to the "Improve Avatar Quality" option during consent, your anonymised text prompts (with all personal information removed) may be used to improve the quality of avatar generation for all users. This is entirely optional and can be toggled off at any time from Settings.

6. Avatar Tiers

Different subscription plans include different avatar capabilities:

• Basic — 1 avatar per child, standard customisation
• Premium — 2 avatars per child, advanced styles and accessories
• Family — 4 avatars per child (up to 3 children), full customisation library

You may redesign your avatar after 6 months on your current plan, or immediately when upgrading to a higher tier.

7. Data Storage & Retention

Avatar data includes:

• Your text prompts (stored encrypted in our Frankfurt data centre)
• The generated 3D character model (stored encrypted alongside your account data)
• Your consent record (stored in an immutable consent ledger)

Avatar data is retained while your account is active. When you delete an avatar or your account, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days.

8. Your Rights

You can:

• View your avatar data at any time from Settings → Privacy & Data
• Delete any avatar instantly — the character and all associated prompts are permanently removed
• Export your data in a machine-readable format
• Revoke your AI generation consent at any time (this will prevent new avatar creation but existing avatars remain usable)
